Some love stories start with love at first sight, but for Nicole and Rhys, it started at a house party when they were teenagers. They became friends at once whilst keeping their true feelings for each other secret. As it tends to do, life took them in different directions, but fate had other plans! Years later, their paths crossed once more and this time, they didn’t hold back. Love quickly followed, and in August 2023, alongside their four children, they took the final step in joining their beautiful family.
A First Date to Remember
After years apart, their first date felt easy, it was full of laughter, long chats and a strong connection. Nicole didn’t want the day to end, and if she was being honest with herself, she knew Rhys was the one. Even now, their dates still have that same magic. He’s her favourite person in the whole world, and every moment spent together is special.
A West End Proposal
When Rhys planned a trip to London to see The Lion King—a musical Nicole had always wanted to watch—she had no idea what was coming next. After the show, he took her to place with a waterside view, where he proposed in the sweetest way, making her feel as special as he always does. She was thrilled, and spent no time at all letting everyone they knew and loved know!
A Wedding That Almost Didn’t Happen… But Was Even Better!
Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but when their original venue cancelled last minute, panic set in. However, the unexpected change turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as they found a new venue they loved even more! Surrounded by their loved ones, saying “I do” was one of the happiest feelings in the world.
Amongst the whirlwind of photos, guests, and hands-on parenting, Nicole and Rhys’ favourite moments were the little looks, the reassuring smiles, and those quiet seconds where it was just the two of them. As the night came to an end, they found themselves alone on the dance floor—slow dancing without a care in the world.
Life as a Family of Six
The biggest challenge for Nicole and Rhys? Finding time for just the two of them. With four children, life can be busy, but they make it work. Thanks to their supportive family, they still fit in those all important date nights—and they always jump at the chance to see a musical together!
Nicole’s favourite thing about Rhys? His energy. She even included it in her vows—he lights up a room just by walking in. They both believe in the importance of family, like sitting and having family dinners. Their “3 good things and 1 not-so-good thing” routine encourages open conversations with their children, strengthening their bond as a family.
A Love That Brought Two Families Together
One of the highlights of their blossoming relationship was when Nicole’s son met Rhys’ daughter for the first time. It was a big step, but they got on so well instantly and have a wonderful bond. Completing their family with two more children made their love story even more beautiful.
After their wedding, when Nicole changed her last name, her son wanted to do the same—an incredibly touching moment for Rhys.

The Evolution of Their Love Story
Nicole and Rhys may not be the same carefree teens who danced until the early hours at their favourite club, but they wouldn’t change a thing. These days, their weekends are filled with kids’ dance parties, bedtime stories, and Baby Shark sing-alongs. They might get “roasted” for not keeping up with the latest TikTok dances, but the love and laughter remain the same.
Their dream now? To own their own home and take a big family holiday somewhere sunny. But as long as Rhys is by Nicole’s side, she knows that every day is an adventure.
